1. Make sure that your hearing aids inserted properly. This will insure maximum hearing benefit from them. The hearing aids are specific to your ear and should be worn on the appropriate ear left or right with the tubing flush with your head.
2. Remember that your brain is adapting to hearing again and this may take some time. You will be hearing things that you have not heard in a while. The more you wear your hearing aids the quicker you will get used to them. There may be sounds that are annoying to you at first, but this is normal and should get better over time. Keep in mind that the hearing aids can be adjusted to address any hearing issues that you may experience.
3. Your hearing aids need to be cleaned regularly with the appropriate cleaning tools. This can be done by gently scooping out any debris that is in your earbud with the loop shaped tool. If your hearing aid stops functioning make sure the earbud is not clogged and you have a good battery inserted. (Some hearing aids will have a white wax filter make sure this is clear, if it is not clear change the filter with the enclosed wax filter replacements.)
